How this works
What helps the most is for me to visualize your project.
Email me photos of your project, or a description on what you are needing done.
1. First step is finding the right material.
At this time, I do not offer sample books to show in person. However, I do recommend browsing Charlotte Fabrics site. They offer amazing lifetime warranties on most of their material and have a wide selection to choose from.
They will send out 10 free samples per customer (you can order the samples as a guest and have them sent directly to you. Anything that needs to be purchased, will need to be ordered through me and will be sent to my address). These are smaller samples, but free of cost. They will send a larger, half yard sample for $12.00 (should you need anything larger).
With today's technology, they make it very easy to see what your material would look like on a piece of furniture!
You may also source your material elsewhere, but I cannot guarantee the quality of it, nor warranty the work. Lastly, if it's not up to my standards, I may deny working with it all together. My reputation means everything to me. Thanks for understanding.
2. Next, contact me for a quote. I will need photos and measurements to make an accurate quote. I charge for labor, and then the cost of the material will be added in, along with any sales tax. We can also discuss if you will need new foam. If this is a project that requires substrate or French Cletes, I can provide those as well.
3. I will require down payment for the material and or supplies before any work can be started. I accept cash, check, PayPal and Venmo at this time. When the work is complete, I will ask for the remaining balance to be paid.
4. I can come to you, or we can meet at a public gathering for exchanges of payment and cushions. We can discuss what would work best.
I work out of my home and do not have a storefront to visit.
5. Give me a rating and a review! Reviews go a long way in this world! If you're happy with my work, please let others know! I will forever be grateful of that!

About me
Hello! My name is Becky VonWald. In 2017, I gave birth to a beautiful little girl and made the decision to make a pretty big career switch! I was formally a project manager in the corporate world. In 2018, I left my job and started sewing cushions for upholstery businesses. My mother owns and operates Bloomington Custom Upholstery and started up her business in 1978 and taught me how to sew. My brother joined her in 2010 and is the primary upholsterer and co-owner now. My mother and my brother have always been my inspiration. Since having kids (little boy added in 2020!), I have proudly followed in my mother's footsteps, sewing cushions from home and taking care of my kids. Since my kids are growing up now (2026), I've expanded my sewing shop, into an upholstery shop! I've started working more with interior designers and something I really love... leather hides!
